Our Mission

Our goal is to become a premier political and policy consulting firm that leverages the expertise of changemakers from the Goldman School of Public Policy, and other top institutions to drive equitable and effective solutions.

Lasting impact requires more than just good policy—it requires access. That’s why we are dedicated to expanding access to business networks, organizations, people, and campaigns that align with our values. At the Moore Working Group, we believe in bold, principled leadership that puts people first. We are rooted in the values of equity, transparency, and accountability, and committed to advancing policies and strategies that empower communities, drive social justice, and create lasting change.

Founded by John “Chip” Moore, a longtime civic leader and advocate for progressive governance in Berkeley, our firm provides expert guidance in political strategy, policy development, communications management, and network building. We partner with government organizations, public officials, community organizations, and mission-driven businesses to navigate complex challenges, build coalitions, and implement solutions that promote economic and racial justice, government accountability, and sustainable development. Whether it’s helping a candidate or nonprofit build a movement, connecting businesses with socially responsible opportunities, or ensuring grassroots organizations have a seat at the table, we bridge the gap between policy, power, and people.

Our mission is to turn vision into action, ensuring that those fighting for justice and equity have the resources, connections, and strategies to succeed. At Moore Working Group, we don’t just consult—we lead, we strategize, and we fight for a more just and inclusive future.

The Moore Working Group empowers political leaders, organizations, and communities by providing strategic consulting, policy analysis, and crisis management. Our firm stands at the intersection of facts, data, and political resolve, dedicated to protecting the progress of the last 100 years.
